Intro TL;DR

EIP Fun serves as the "Layer 2" of EIPs, which builds a highway in the ecosystem, connecting Ethereum Foundation, Ethereum chain, developers, builders, startups, EIP editors/ authors, tech writers, EIP enthusiasts etc. Our mission is to serve EIP builders and scale Ethereum. As an open-source, community-driven, public goods project, EIP Fun is currently supported by LXDAO and PlanckerDAO.

What are EIPs? Why do they matter?

Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs) describe standards for the Ethereum platform, including core protocol specifications, client APIs, and contract standards.

EIPs are more than standards. They connect the whole ecosystem including Ethereum Foundation, Ethereum chain, developers, builders, startups, EIP editors/authors, tech writers, etc.

Why Us?

Currently, the ecosystem connections through EIPs are relatively weak, mainly due to:

• Insufficient accessibility for developers and the general public: Navigating and understanding the official EIP website (https://eips.ethereum.org/) can be challenging for developers and others.
• Fragmented and inconsistent learning resources: Although there are many informative articles, code examples, renowned projects, and videos about EIPs, the official website cannot include those useful information.
• Limited communication between authors, developers, and users
• Insufficient infrastructure for efficient EIP adoption

EIP fun aims to uncover the potential of EIPs, and build a stronger connection within the EIP community. By doing so, we hope to advance the growth of the entire Ethereum ecosystem.

• **EIP.fun Website**: A more powerful version of eips.ethereum.org, which aggregates high quality & community-generated content, and provides advanced EIP search
• Community: Collaborate with Ethereum communities, such as Ethereum Cat Herders, Ethereum Magicians Forum, and Ethereum Research, to bring more EIP enthusiasts into the community
• EIP Newsletter: Publish weekly newsletter, covering a variety of topics around EIP & Ethereum ecosystem, including recent EIP related meetings, EIP status changes, new EIPs & ideas, EIP events, and Anecdote of the week for fun
