Co-creating an Open and Inclusive Environment

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all LXDAO members and all community spaces, as well as situations where individuals publicly represent the community online or offline. This includes but is not limited to Discord servers, forums, WeChat groups, real-life meetings and events, and collaboration platforms used for LXDAO projects, such as Twitter, Mirror, Notion, WeChat Official Accounts, and others.

Our Goals

To foster an open and inclusive environment, we commit to making participation in our project and community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socioeconomic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

Our Responsibilities

The Governance group is responsible for clarifying the standards of acceptable behavior and is expected to take appropriate and fair corrective action in response to any instances of unacceptable behavior. The Governance group has the right and responsibility to remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, code, wiki edits, issues, and other contributions that do not align with this Code of Conduct, or to temporarily or permanently ban any member for behaviors they deem inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful.

If you discover any violations of the Code of Conduct, you may submit a report (anonymously) by filling out this form or send an email to [email protected] to report abusive, harassing, fraudulent, or other unacceptable behavior. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated, and will receive an appropriate response based on the circumstances. The LXDAO Governance group is obligated to maintain confidentiality regarding the reporter of incidents. Additional details of specific enforcement policies may be posted separately.

Enforcement Type Violation Type Enforcement Action Consequences
Warning First instance of inappropriate language or other behavior in the community deemed unprofessional or unwelcome The Governance group will handle the matter, issue a report, and warn the person who violated the Code of Conduct. A private written warning from the Governance group, clarifying the nature of the violation and explaining why the behavior was inappropriate. A public apology may also be requested.
Temporary Suspension Serious violation of community standards, including sustained inappropriate behavior. The Governance group will handle the matter and issue a temporary ban. A 1-month temporary ban from Discord, Forum, and the community. No public or private interaction with involved community members is permitted, including proactive interaction with those enforcing the LXDAO Code of Conduct. Violation of these terms may result in a long-term suspension.
Long-term Suspension Repeated violations of community standards, including sustained inappropriate behavior or serious violations. Vote to impose a long-term suspension on the member reported for serious violations The member will be suspended long-term and will not participate in any form of interaction on Discord, Forum, or within the community for one season. If legal issues are involved, this member will be banned indefinitely.
