Every Contribution at LXDAO Should Be Recorded Through PoC (Proof of Contribution)
Principles
PoC (Proof-of-Contribution) Incentives: PoC represents a proof-of-contribution mechanism, meaning that in LXDAO, you need to make contributions to receive corresponding compensation. PoC records are open and transparent, and anyone can query their specific contributions.
Contribution Value
LXDAO contributions include 2 types:
How to Earn Rewards
Before applying for LXP and stablecoin rewards, please follow these principles:
- Your work needs to add value to LXDAO's overall strategy.
- Your work follows proposal rules and makes sense.
- If you are a Leader, please ensure you have communicated with your team members.
In LXDAO, there are several ways to earn rewards:
- Within a research and development project's autonomous incentive rules, complete corresponding tasks and receive incentives. The project PM will distribute rewards according to the proposal content.
- Within a working group's work plan, complete corresponding tasks and receive incentives after successful acceptance. The working group leader will distribute rewards according to the proposal content.
- Complete Bounty tasks.
LXP is a way to incentivize LXDAO community members. It quantifies contributions, encourages active participation from community members, and drives LXDAO's development.
Principles for PoC (Proof of Contribution) Calculation Rules
LXDAO faces diverse business and activity needs with varying time and skill requirements. Although it's difficult to establish uniform PoC calculation standards, various incentive rules can be formulated according to the following principles:
- Highly Specialized Work and Physical Costs: For work requiring high professional expertise or involving physical costs, stablecoins should be prioritized for settlement, with reasonable amounts determined based on market prices. Please refer to LXDAO Treasury Usage Scope
- Recommended Budget Ratio: The recommended budget ratio will be adjusted and changed according to treasury funds.
According to discussions at the Season 5 strategy meeting, the recommended ratio for proposal budget applications is 6:4 for stablecoins to LXP. These principles aim to ensure that LXDAO's incentive rules fairly and reasonably meet the needs of various businesses and activities, encouraging community members to actively participate and contribute to LXDAO's development.
Contribution Reward Application and Distribution Process
Rewards are divided into stablecoins and LXP. Reward distribution goes through an application and public announcement process. Apply at the Announcement System at the beginning of each month.
- Application Timing: Applications must be submitted by the 3rd of each month for distributing the previous month's contribution rewards.
- Application Categories: Applicants can choose from three categories: Project, Working Group, or Personal.
- Public Announcement Period: After submitting an application, it enters a 7-day public announcement period. During this time, any Buidler Card holder has the right to raise objections to applications.
- Objection Handling: If an application receives an objection, the accounting team will review it. If the objection is reasonable, the application will be rejected; otherwise, it will be re-announced.
- Automatic Distribution: After the announcement period ends, LXP will be automatically distributed through smart contracts, and stablecoin rewards will be reviewed by the accounting team, submitted to multi-sig, and distributed by multi-sig.
Compensation Model
LXDAO members can choose to participate in working groups or project groups. Through Proof of Contribution (PoC) records, they can receive corresponding compensation.
Position Types
In working groups and project groups, there are two types of positions: fixed positions and Bounty tasks. Fixed positions receive fixed monthly compensation but must meet working hour requirements, suitable for experienced members familiar with LXDAO. Additionally, working groups and project groups may post temporary Bounty tasks during development. These tasks are usually not complex and take less time, making them suitable for newly joined members to participate.
Continuous Contribution
In public goods supported by LXDAO, early-stage research and development is just one phase. Projects will continue to operate, and members can continue contributing to projects. When projects generate ongoing revenue, members will receive retroactive rewards to recognize their continuous contributions.
